We live in traumatic times. Many people experience threats or actual action against their person, those they know and love, or they witness it with others. Our bodies, souls, or emotions can experience violation. Trauma can occur in the form of words, actions, or other forms of painful treatment. It can occur in adulthood; yet, what is often most affecting to our lives is when trauma occurs earlier in life and remains unresolved for years. Trauma can contribute to anxiety and depression. Yet, trauma is very responsive to clinical therapy. People who have experienced trauma often find great freedom later in life when they turn their attention to addressing it.
